How to Import Your DFY Blog Post to WordPress
To successfully import a blog post file from Sariima’s DFY Blog Library into your WordPress site, follow these steps:
Step 1: Install and Activate the “Auto Upload Images” Plugin
- Log in to Your WordPress Dashboard:
- Open your WordPress admin area by logging in with your credentials.
- Install the Plugin:
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New from the left-hand menu.
- Search for “Auto Upload Images” using the search bar.
- Click Install Now next to the plugin.
- After installation, click Activate to enable the plugin.
Step 2: Install and Activate the “WordPress Importer” Plugin (if not already installed)
- Access the Plugin Installation Area:
- Go to Plugins > Add New.
- Install the Importer Plugin:
- Search for “WordPress Importer” in the search bar.
- Click Install Now and then Activate once installed.
Step 3: Import the DFY Blog Post File
- Navigate to the Import Tool:
- Go to Tools > Import from the left-hand menu.
- Upload the DFY Blog Post File:
- Locate the “WordPress” option under the Import section and click Run Importer.
- Click on “Choose File” to select the DFY blog post file you downloaded from Sariima.
- Click Upload file and import.
- Configure Import Settings:
- Assign or create a new user to associate with the imported content.
- Check the box for “Download and import file attachments” to ensure that images and other media are included.
- Click Submit to start the import process.
Step 4: Verify the Import
- Navigate to the Posts Menu:
- Go to Posts > All Posts in your WordPress dashboard.
- Check the Imported Content:
- Find the newly imported blog post in the list.
- Click Edit to review and make any necessary adjustments.
- Ensure that the content, images, and formatting are correctly imported.
- Publish or Schedule Your Post:
- Once you’re satisfied with the imported blog post, you can either Publish it immediately or Schedule it for later.
